THE ANCHORS OF RED SLAVE:

Finally! An answer to the question, "So, what IS at the end of that huge anchor chain at Red Slave ....and just how deep is it?"

This has been a local island mystery for many years.

The mystery revealed:

Old Anchor at Red Slave - Depth: 400 ft.

Red Slave is located on the West Coast of Bonaire, near the Southern tip of the island.

There are numerous anchors in this area dating back to the
1700 - 1800's.

Note the deep water gorgonia growing on this particular anchor.
